Where quality is born
Our spaces, the central axes
The Riudoms Cooperative is lived in three key points: the oil mill, where the Arbequina olive is converted into extra virgin; the office, a management and service center for members; and the Agrobotiga, the space where you can find our products and those from the region.
The cooperative
The Riudoms Agricultural Cooperative has modern facilities that went into operation on November 5, 2001, to the president of the cooperative Mr. Pascual Mas Gispert.
These facilities have a constructed area of 1,200 m2, on a total plot area of 4,000m2. This plant has involved an investment of nearly 1 million euros and allows the daily production of oil to be tripled, going from the old 40,000 kilos to the current 120,000 kilos.
The building is made up of two parts: the oil mill and a nut reception and storage center.
The oil mill
The oil mill, with tanks with a capacity of 160,000 kilos of oil, and 3 silos with a capacity of 32,000 kilos each, to receive olives before reaching the mill. It should be noted that all oil production is done in stainless steel, which allows us to obtain a product with extraordinarily optimal conditions and high quality.
Storage area
On the other hand, there is also a nut reception and storage center. To this end, two silos with a storage capacity of around 80,000 kilos have been installed, and a hazelnut cleaner, a cleaning and selection belt, an almond washer and a dryer have been purchased. Once the hazelnuts and almonds have been selected, they are transported to the Unió Agrària Cooperativa de Reus.
Supply warehouse
Since 2002, the warehouse located in the new facilities on Salvador Espriu Street s/n, has been the agricultural supplies section where fertilizers, plant protection products, protection elements, agricultural hardware, tools, vegetable planting services and other products that are very popular with farmers, such as pet food, are sold at competitive prices.
Similarly, implicitly in the section, a type of spontaneous and natural advice is detected that is usually carried out by the cooperative employee himself to the member who comes to buy products related to agricultural activity.
With the new supply warehouse, the cooperative has not only maintained its production and sales pace, but has also considerably improved the volume of its sales, with increases close to 30% compared to previous campaigns.
The offices
Our offices are the reference point for members. Here we guarantee personalized attention and the correct administrative, economic and informational management of the cooperative, always with transparency, responsibility and the proximity that characterizes us.
The Farm Shop
This is a store that is located within the town. In this store, members and customers in general will be able to find all the typical products of the Cooperative, as well as other products that are for everyday use in the home.
Within the urban area of Riudoms, it was on Sunday, January 15, 2006 at one o’clock in the afternoon, when the Agrobotiga of the Riudoms Agricultural Cooperative was officially inaugurated, with the presence of the management of the cooperative, as well as members of the local corporation and more than 200 people.
It is open to the public every day of the week, morning and afternoon, from Monday to Saturday, and on Sunday mornings, in an attempt to attract customers from outside the town.
